Overview:
Senvias is seeking a meticulous Quality Inspector to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Position Summary:
The Quality Inspector ensures that products meet the required standards of quality and performance. This role involves inspecting raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify they conform to specifications and customer requirements. The Quality Inspector is crucial in maintaining the integrity of the production process, identifying defects, and communicating findings to support quality improvement efforts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products against predefined specifications and standards.
- Use measurement tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to perform accurate inspections.
- Document inspection results, including recording defects and deviations.
- Communicate findings to production and engineering teams to support the resolution of quality issues.
- Monitor and report on quality trends and performance metrics.
- Assist in developing and revising inspection procedures and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide feedback on processes and procedures.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality control or inspection role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment, or at least a minimum of 5 years in a production environment
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong attention to details and ability to identify defects and discrepancies
- Proficient in the use of measurement tools and inspection equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and standards (ISO9001, IATF16949, AS9100).
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry moderate weights.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, protective eyewear, and others as required.
- Exposure to noise from machinery and equipment.
- Work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and lighting conditions.
- Some overtime may be required to meet production deadlines or address quality issues.
